my problems

  • the margins of so many things are just kinda off.

  • corners arent consistently rounded.

  • there are many redundant buttons. you could get rid of the whole top bar. the links to twitter and tiktok wouldnt make sense even if they worked.

  • the note text in the note view is not highlighted in any way, which makes it look very uninteresting.

  • the loading screen always looks the same even with a theme

  • notifications just take up so much space for no reason while providing effectively no information.

  • some buttons bring up huge popups instead of small menus you might expect

  • it makes no sense for the Create button to not be on the same height as the note options buttons in the post popup.

  • ill just leave a screenshot of the accounts thing on the right

im not expecting any of this to be fixed asap or anything, but i want to officially say that this is stuff that has to be improved.

i started my own attempts at some stuff a few times, but theres just a lot to do so motivation drops quickly.

i think all of this and the fact that any frontend change has to be done in every html file could be solved at the same time with a major frontend rewrite that were not ready for.

"The frontend looks ass" isn't very constructive!

But yes, a lot of frontend works needs to be done. That is very much on my roadmap I only have in my mind, which I've said a few times in the Katniny Studios Discord server.

Migrating a bunch code to the backend, unifying HTML, fixing elements, etc., etc.

i admit the phrasing is not constructive at all. i did say that im not expecting this to be fixed much, but youre right, its low key kind of a rant.

No one can really see my roadmap, lol. I just mentally keep note of it (bad practice, I know).
