Hi, I am not very tech-savvy and didn't see this specific issue described in the list of issues, as far as I can tell. I was using Ao3Downloader to scrape my personal account's bookmarks, and it downloaded up to page 7 of 21. Then the command prompt said something about AO3 refresh in so many seconds. Then it gave me: "downloading works
'd' to display the menu again
please enter your choice, or 'q' to quit:"

I thought I just had to restart the download process, but now, it just loops to those three lines. I restarted the program, went through everything again. It still always takes me back to "please enter your choice"... It will not download any more fanfiction.

Is there something I messed up, or a way to get it to work again?

Here's the log after i restarted the command prompt:

"options
d: display menu
a: download from ao3 link
l: get all work links from an ao3 listing (saves links only)
f: download links from file
u: download latest version of incomplete fics
s: download missing fics from series
r: re-download fics saved in one format in a different format
m: download marked for later list and mark all as read (requires login)
p: download bookmarks from pinboard
v: convert logfile into interactable html
i: configure ignore list (list of links to never try to download)
'd' to display the menu again
please enter your choice, or 'q' to quit:
a
use saved download type list? (y/n)
y
do you want to get works from all encountered series links? (bookmarked series will always be downloaded, regardless of this option) (y/n)
y
do you want to start downloading from the page you stopped on last time? (y/n)
y
please enter page number to stop on. enter 0 to download all pages.
21
do you want to download embedded images? (will be saved separately) (y/n)
y
do you want to log in to ao3? (y/n)
y
logging in
generating list of work links that are already in the downloads folder (will be skipped)
downloading works
'd' to display the menu again
please enter your choice, or 'q' to quit:
"

Thank you.

For me, it's simply a timeout error, so I just wait for a couple minutes before trying again. I'd also check out your logs/log.jsonl to see what it says.
